We have resolved what our mission is for Shift Church;
“We are establishing a church known for the presence and power of God where lives are transformed.”
The presence and the power of God is what makes us different. It is not just the knowledge of Him in our understanding. We can posses a knowledge of God but our lives remain the same year after year. It is the presence of a personal God that changes us at a deeper level. It is an understanding of an incomprehensible love that causes us to move to a place in our lives that is full of joy and peace that the circumstances do not dictate.
Therefore our goal is to shift our thinking to God’s thinking. We all desire to move from a dark understanding of life to an understanding based on His life. That is light. It is also our goal to move out from the powers of satan to God’s power. This means to allow His goodness to change us and move us and the situations we face. We are to change the atmosphere around us by His presence and power residing within us.
Therefore we resolve to daily shift our thinking by coming into contact with God, our Father, to know Him and live in His presence and power that changes the world in us and around us. |

to be followers of Jesus: the Word becoming flesh in us
to be worshipers: passionate for the presence of God
to be revivalists: the power of God moving through us
to be a portal for the Kingdom of God to enter this world
to be a place of peace: tangible sense of His love
to be a place of honor: recognizing Him in other people
to be a place of joy: joining His celebration of life |
